 . Join us to celebrate the release of Denny Fitzpatrick's new album "A 'Ye
 s' Out There\," with Tommy Coster. Net proceeds from album sales benefit t
 he Cancer Center at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.\n\nDenny Fitzpatrick 
 grew up in the Bay Area\, studying classical piano in his adolescence. Aft
 er receiving his bachelor's degree from St. Mary's and the University of M
 adrid\, and his graduate degree from U.C. Berkeley\, he taught Spanish at 
 high school and college levels for several years. He then ran the family C
 hevrolet dealership in Concord until he retired in 2013.\n\nBut within his
  involvement with those strange bedfellows\, he embraced his passion for w
 riting and recording music\, forging a lasting friendship with legendary s
 ound designer Richard Beggs at his San Francisco studio in the 1970's. It 
 was only after settling in the Sierra Foothills and experiencing the soul 
 of Nevada City's truly unique art/music colony — and the integral magic 
 of Grammy winner Tommy Coster's studio genius — that Denny began a journ
 ey that would redefine his songwriting and lyricism. Thoroughly influenced
  by Steely Dan\, Brian Wilson\, and Journey\, but always balanced by his s
 ignature poetry\, storytelling\, and versatile composition.
